This week KALE has hosted three meetings to give colleagues the opportunity to reflect on the key questions in the White Paper consultation, before the deadline of 18th May. We will share notes from these meetings early next week in the hope that they are helpful to you in framing your individual responses.

A number of colleagues also attended a meeting with Craig Chapman who shared information about the process by which KCC is convening stakeholders to inform the development of the Kent Local Area SEN Reform Plan, which needs to be submitted to DfE (in draft by 19th May and finalised by 19th June). Colleagues were able to make some key points for consideration in the first draft. You can review Craig’s slides and read a summary of the transcript below.
