KALE organises and coordinates a range of opportunities for education leaders to come together through networks and events.

All KALE events and networks are:

  • peer-led - colleagues sharing insights and experiences with each other
  • thematic – focused on a theme or topic that leaders have said is important or challenging
  • supportive – take account of the well-being of leaders
  • non-judgemental – enabling colleagues to share their concerns in a non-judgemental environment
  • low-cost or no-cost – using school venues or online delivery to reduce any barriers to access
  • evidence-informed – sharing ‘what works’ from research and practice, and enabling leaders to consider how they might apply these approaches in their own schools

KALE events

Events range from our large annual in-person conference, to smaller events and webinars initiated in response to themes where leaders want to talk together about a topic.

Thematic Networks

The development of thematic networks is a priority for 2023/24. Leaders have identified a number of themes around which in-person and online networks will be development. Please take a look at the upcoming networks here

Kent Education Evidence Hub Networks

KALE also facilitates a number of networks through our Kent Education Evidence Hub; these include:

  • Regular network to support Evidence Champions to undertake their role in schools
  • Networks that support teachers who have undertaken evidence-based training to implement their new knowledge and skills
