Wellbeing

A core purpose of KALE is to support wellbeing for education leaders through supportive networks and meaningful connections with peers on shared issues.

We have a very strong focus on organising wellbeing activities including:

  1. Supportive networks and connecting opportunities
  2. Individual support - listening, coaching, and peer support
  3. Wellbeing opportunities – webinars, events, activities e.g. phone a friend day
  4. Signposting to wellbeing guidance, research, and resources

Stay Connected on a daily basis

We encourage all headteachers to join our telegram group which provides a daily opportunity to connect with other headteachers. We have also recently launched a number of Telegram groups

  • KALE HT Community - Open to any HT or Head of School working in a Kent school.
  • KALE Deputy HT Community  - Open to any Deputy or Assistant HT working in a Kent school.
  • KALE - SENCo Group - Open to any SENCo working in a Kent school.
  • KALE - Kent SBM Group - Open to any School Business Manager or Finance Manager working in/for a Kent school.
  • KALE - Talking Menopause - This group is open to anyone working in a school or education setting. This group is for anyone experiencing Perimenopause/Menopause or Menopause Ambassadors.

These groups are informal and provide colleagues to share information and to offer and seek advice.

If you or a staff member are interested in joining any of the above groups, please contact us info@kale-connect.org.uk

Menopause Support

A current priority of the Wellbeing Group is to support all those working in Kent schools experiencing the menopause. We have a working group dedicated to this area and have developed a model policy for schools to adopt and a resource sheet.

In addition to the model policy, we have also provided webinars and training for schools, for more information on how the Menopause Working Group can support you and your staff, please contact us info@kale-connect.org.uk
