KALE colleagues have organised a variety of informal ways to network, meet up in person and talk.

KALE Telegram Groups
We operate a number of Telegram Groups to enable leaders to quickly and easily connect with each other, share resources, ask questions, provide advice etc.
Currently there are groups for:
- All Headteachers
- Secondary Headteachers
- Deputy Headteachers
- School Business Managers
- ‘Talking Menopause’ Group

Monthly Walk and Talk
KALE members meet in various scenic locations across Kent for a walk and an opportunity to network whilst enjoying a little exercise, fresh air and usually a cuppa and some cake or ice-cream. The group choose a different location for each walk to make it a little easier for far-flung colleagues to attend, however all are welcome to every event, including partners, friends and even dogs, that often join.
This a perfect opportunity to connect with peers and have an informal conversation whether it be school related or not, in a relaxed environment. There are many benefits of connecting with peers and spending time outdoors, so why not do both?!
The walks usually take place on the Sunday before the final week of term. The first walk is planned for Sunday 15th October.

Phone a Friend Day
Scheduled to align with the national Time to Talk day, KALE encourages colleagues to pick up the phone and call a colleague on this day. The next National Time to Talk day is 1st February 2024.
