On 28th January, KALE hosted their first Outreach Provider and Network Event.
This was a new initiative organised by Maz Cleave, KALE West Area Board Chair. As the Headteacher of a special school, Maz wanted to introduce a new network event aimed at supporting Headteachers in West Kent to expand their knowledge on the Outreach opportunities & support that is available for the children and young people in your schools, particularly those children who you are struggling to support in mainstream with SEMH needs.
We were joined by 9 local providers, sharing what they can offer West Kent schools to support some of their most vulnerable pupils. Much of what was shared was either free or very low cost.

We will be creating a dedicated area on the KALE website to store details of outreach partnerships. If you are an outreach provider and would like us to include your details, please get in touch at info@kale-connect.org.uk.
Following the success of the event, we are looking to host similar events in other areas of Kent as we know there is need in all schools to access additional resources to support our more complex young people.
We would like to express a special thank you to Cobtree Manor Golf Club who kindly allowed us to use their venue to host the event and supplied us an incredible breakfast spread.
